What does my dog need to come to FP for boarding or day care? Do I need a reservation to board my dog? When I call and get voice mail, should I call back or leave a message? When should I use the Fuzzy Paws pager? I noticed drop-off and pick-up is not available on major holidays. What holidays are included? Is Doggie Day Care available on the weekends? Can I bring my dog to Day Care without a reservation? What does my dog need to come to FP for boarding or day care? Day care requires an advance appointment for a temperament test to ensure your dog plays well with other dogs. For both overnight stays and daycare, your dog is required to have up-to-date rabies, DHLPP, AND Bordatella (kennel cough) immunizations, a negative fecal test within 30 days of the first visit and a PA dog license issued by the county where you live. For details, refer to the Rules and Regulations. Do I need a reservation to board my dog? Yes. You should always make a reservation so that Fuzzy Paws can confirm availability. Please plan ahead as we fill up quickly, especially during holiday weeks and summer vacation months. When I call and get voice mail, should I call back or leave a message? Please leave a message and someone will call you back the same day, generally within a few hours. When we are caring for dogs or in the exercise yards, it is sometimes difficult to answer phones and take reservations or address questions. But we do return all calls. When should I use the Fuzzy Paws pager? The pager is for emergencies, problems and urgent questions that require immediate attention and can't wait for the same day call back. For instance, you are scheduled to pick up your pup but your flight is delayed, causing you to miss the pick up times. The pager should not be used to make reservations or for any questions that can wait for a same-day answer. Yes. We have an open invitation for the public to tour Fuzzy Paws Monday through Thursday at 6:30 pm. No tour reservation is required. If this time doesn't suit you, we will accommodate you another time. Just call and make an appointment. Tours are not available on Saturday or Sunday mornings. I noticed drop-off and pick-up is not available on major holidays. What holidays are included? Fuzzy Paws is closed for drop-off and pick-up on New Year\'s Day, Easter, Memorial Day, Independence Day (July 4th), Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. Is Doggie Day Care available on the weekends? No, our Day Care is open Monday through Friday from 7 am to 7 pm. It is closed weekends, major holidays and generally the day before and after a major holiday. Can I bring my dog to Day Care without a reservation? Before coming the first time, you must make an appointment for your dog to have a temperament test. You also must complete the Doggie Day Care Application and provide the required veterinary records. This is true, even if your dog has stayed in our Pet Villa and Spa overnight. Once your dog is temperament tested and registered for Day Care, you can bring your dog without a reservation. |
